Pad Printing Machine Silicone

1- Newly purchased tampon should be wiped with cellulosic thinner for one time only before use.

2- The printing surface of the tampon should not be wiped with dry hands or dry cloth.

3- In case of thread during printing, the reason should be investigated. The main reasons are as follows:

a) The depth of the plate should be checked, if it is too deep, a less deep plate should be prepared.

b) Using too little or inappropriate retarder in the ink and thinning too little. Add retarder to the ink and see whether the thread decreases or not.

4- The printing result of pointed bumpers is better than flat bumpers. If the printing shape is suitable, it is correct to use pointed bumpers. However, the top of the pointed bumpers, which is the first contact note, should not be written or shaped. For this reason, pointed bumpers are not suitable for floor prints. The same problem applies to roof-shaped bumpers.

5- The buffer should be pressed enough to take the shape to be printed. Pressing more can disrupt the printing.

6- High buffers should be selected as high as the machine construction allows.

7- When storing unused bumpers, the surface should be prevented from contact with other objects and should be stored after cleaning the surface.

One of the most difficult materials to choose is the pad/silicone, which gives the pad printing method its name. Choosing the appropriate shape and hardness is important for print quality. We can classify silicones according to their shapes as follows:

  • Round silicones
  • Oval silicones
  • Square silicones
  • Herringbone silicones
  • Special form silicones
